Initia is a VM-agnostic network for 0-to-1 omnichain rollups, built by fusing a novel L1 with an interwoven application-specific L2 infrastructure system.
Initia Network Overview
The Initia Network is a pioneering blockchain network that is built upon the Cosmos SDK. Its primary mission is to transform the standards of the DeFi space through its innovative Layer 1 and Layer 2 solutions.
The Initia L1 is the foundational blockchain layer and the orchestration layer, tasked with managing diverse elements of the network such as security, consensus, interoperability, governance, liquidity, and cross-chain messaging.
Meanwhile, Minitias, affectionately termed "mini Initia’s," represent Layer 2 rollup protocols that are deployed through the Initia base chain. They are customized Cosmos SDK rollups that are neutral to virtual machines, which means they can be compatible with a variety of virtual machines including EVM, WasmVM, or MoveVM.
Collectively, the Initia Network brings together several key components that form the larger Omnitia ecosystem, thereby introducing the concept of interwoven rollups.
Initia Team
The Initia team, a dynamic ensemble of approximately 30 individuals, brings together a wealth of expertise in blockchain technology. Spearheaded by co-founders Zon and Stan, who are well-regarded figures in the blockchain arena, the team boasts a diverse assembly of talent.
Core developers with seasoned experience in Cosmos and Ethereum, past developers from AAA gaming studios, researchers, and software engineers hailing from FAANG companies, all contribute to the diverse portfolio of the team.
